The Ranch
A mix of indoor and outdoor work areas lend a comfortable residential feel to create spaces that are flexible, adaptable and intimate in scale to foster an engaged community.
Once isolated buildings are connected to create a dynamic campus of creative offices, retail, and eateries that tell a story. Originally a complex of mid-century warehouses in the central San Fernando Valley, the design references its history as a working ranch and repositions the property as a creative campus.
A mix of indoor and outdoor work areas lend a comfortable residential feel to create spaces that are flexible, adaptable and intimate in scale to foster an engaged community. Amenities are clustered in the interstitial spaces, including courtyards outdoor meeting spaces, fire pits, and access to retail and restaurants. Branded elements such as color palette, furniture, and environmental graphics, and a drought tolerant landscape design all contribute to the narrative. The Ranch was honored with a Los Angeles Business Council Community Impact award in 2015.
